Jane Rheinheimer Ross
Jane Rheinheimer Ross was raised in Tustin, California, the only child of an Orange County Deputy District Attorney and a Superior Court judge. After graduating from Marywood High School in Orange, she moved to Washington, DC where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in languages and linguistics from Georgetown University.
Ms. Ross returned to Southern California after graduating from Georgetown to work for General Steamship Corporation in Los Angeles. She relocated to San Diego in 1984 to attend law school at the University of San Diego. She received her JD in 1987 and passed the California bar exam on the first attempt. Ms. Ross has been admitted to practice law before all the courts of the State of California and before the Southern, Central and Eastern districts of the US District Court since December of 1987.
After working for several mid-sized law firms in San Diego and as a contract attorney for Appellate Defenders, Inc., Ms. Ross went into business for herself in 1996, first as Maxie Rheinheimer Stephens & Vrevich and then as Rheinheimer + Smigliani, APC. Ms. Ross' successful trial and appellate practice covers a wide range of civil and criminal matters. Attorney Vincent Ross was born in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina in 1956. During his youth, and throughout his adulthood, Vincent Ross became an outdoor enthusiast, and a dedicated fisherman and hunter. Mr. Ross graduated University of North Carolina at Asheville with a degree in philosophy. While studying for his degree, Mr. Ross saved money by working on tobacco farms, eventually relocating to California and attending law school.
Prior to attending law school. Mr. Ross dedicated his time to a variety of projects, which were sponsored by a number of groups involved with Constitutional law; specifically the First Amendment. For several years, Mr. Ross dedicated himself to the ACLU and NORML. Over this time, Mr. Ross developed his passion for criminal defense, and protecting the rights of people who could not protect themselves. The end result of Mr. Ross’ brewing passion led him to attend University of San Diego School of Law.
Vincent Ross graduated law school in 1987, and passed the California Bar Exam on his first attempt. After graduating law school, Mr. Ross practiced law with a nation law firm that specialized in insurance law. After a few short years, Mr. Ross rediscovered his true passion for criminal defense. Thomas was born and raised in San Diego, and was resided in Southern California for most of his life. He is a graduate of the Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a member of the school’s American Bar Association Negotiation Team. At Syracuse, he developed a passion for criminal defense law, and clerked for a law firm that handled primarily criminal appeals. He has drafted appellate briefs in several areas of criminal law including Parole Violations, Domestic Violence, Rape, and Murder. After graduating law school, Thomas worked for one of San Diego’s preeminent Construction Defect and HOA law firms. He is also a member of the St. Thomas Moore Society for Catholic Attorneys.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Filicia studied Communications at Loyola Marymount University, where he also played Varsity Baseball. He then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from St. John’s University. At St. John’s, he was a member of the University’s Ethics Debate Team, which competed annually in national competitions.

Next, he gained entrance to California Western School of Law on the “Creative Problem Solving Scholarship.” During his time in law school, Mr. Gross obtained the highest grade in class, or the “Academic Excellence Award” for Constitutional Law I and Constitutional Law II. Mr. Gross also excelled in legal research and writing, obtaining nearly top grades in Legal Research, Advanced Legal Research, Legal Writing, and International Legal Research.
